Facebook's End?
Don't worry Facebook hasn't demolished or shut down ;)
A few days back Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook will be known as "Meta".
If you're using the updated application of Facebook, WhatsApp or Instagram you will notice 'from Meta' when you open the application.
Let's dig deeper and see what Meta is and what will be the future of Meta.
What is MetaVerse?
The word "Metaverse" is a combination of 2 words (Meta and Verse).
Meta means beyond and Verse means Universe so Metaverse is beyond universe or you can say a second life or a virtual world.
Future of Metaverse
The company's main goal remains the same that is "Connecting the world".
Have you ever played a Virtual Reality game?
Even If you haven't played but you must have seen the videos of how it works.
You have to put on the VR glasses and headset and then you enter into a completely different world.
The future will be like this but you won't be just playing games.
There's a lot of things beyond your imagination like you can meet someone virtually or do group meets no matter which part of the world they are in and you can feel their presence like in-person or you can enjoy a concert of your favourite artist by sitting at your home.
I recently watched "Black Mirror" on Netflix, there is an episode called "Fifteen Million Merits" in which you can get a kind of idea of what metaverse will look like.
This episode is just a very small picture but in reality, there's a lot more which we can't even imagine.
In the coming decade, I can say that the world will see another world.
