I'll attempt to explain in the simplest terms so that you can easily understand what Mutual fund is and what are the types of Mutual Funds. Let's first understand these 2 words- ' Mutual ' and ' Fund '. Mutual means common and Fund means a sum of money collected for a particular purpose. So in simple terms, Mutual Fund means collecting a sum of money for a particular reason to achieve a common goal. Now let's understand this in the stock market term.
